IBIF was created in December 2005. Our previous name was IBIC (Indonesian Big Island Community) but then we decided to change it to IBIF (Indonesian Big Island Family) started in March 2010.
This island is very unique. We live kind a far away each other. Almost
like going out of town to reach every part of the island. There are only few Indonesians on the
Big Island. That's why we try to have get together events every once in a while.
We are all Ohana (Family in English)
